Jaden Heskey is an English attacking midfielder born on 17 December 2005 in Manchester. The son of former England striker Emile Heskey, he joined Manchester City's academy at the age of eight and worked his way through every age group at the club, eventually captaining the under-18 side. He signed his first professional contract with City in July 2023.
Heskey made his senior debut on 24 September 2025, coming on for Manchester City in a 2–0 EFL Cup victory away at Huddersfield Town — a notable occasion shared with his brother Reigan, who also made his debut in the same match. Earlier in his development, he scored in the FA Youth Cup final in May 2024 as City defeated Leeds United to lift the trophy, a result that underlined his potential at the top level.
A dynamic, technically sharp attacking midfielder, Heskey is comfortable both creating and finishing in and around the penalty area. In January 2026, he joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the remainder of the season, making his debut as a substitute against Portsmouth before earning his first senior start against Birmingham City.
Manchester City continue to view Heskey as a promising prospect within their squad, with the loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday designed to give him regular first-team minutes and accelerate his development ahead of a potential return to the Premier League side.
