Born in Manchester on 13 November 2003, Micah Hamilton joined Manchester City's academy at the age of nine and worked his way through the club's youth ranks over more than a decade. His path to the first team was a gradual one, but he made it count when the opportunity arrived.
Hamilton made his professional debut on 13 December 2023, starting in Manchester City's final UEFA Champions League group stage match away at Red Star Belgrade. He marked the occasion by scoring in the 19th minute, contributing to a 3–2 victory. That same month he travelled with the City squad to Saudi Arabia for the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, which the club won — giving him a senior honour early in his career. A neat piece of trivia: as a 13-year-old ball boy in 2017, he was filmed receiving instructions from Pep Guardiola on the touchline, the same manager who would hand him his debut six years later.
Primarily a left winger with the ability to play across the attacking midfield line, Hamilton offers directness and versatility in the final third.
In August 2024 he joined Championship club Middlesbrough on a four-year deal, with the move representing a chance for regular senior football after limited minutes at City. He has also represented England at youth level, appearing for the England Elite League squad in a 5–1 win over Poland in March 2024.
