Ebenezer Ajodun Akinsanmiro was born on 25 November 2004 in Nigeria. He developed in the Lagos-based football environment before joining Remo Stars, one of the academies that has become increasingly important in moving Nigerian teenagers toward Europe. His balance, short passing and courage in crowded midfield zones made him stand out early.
His first major European step came through Inter Milan, who signed him as a young prospect and placed him within a highly competitive development structure. The move gave him exposure to Italian tactical schooling, where his natural attacking instincts were refined into a more complete central-midfield profile.
By the 2025-26 season he was with Pisa, on loan from Inter, and that spell became the practical bridge between academy promise and weekly senior football. He has been used as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder and occasional right-sided option, showing the flexibility that made Italian clubs invest in him.
For Nigeria, Akinsanmiro entered the senior conversation during the 2026 World Cup cycle and was included around the Super Eagles group that also contested the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. In a midfield with Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka and Raphael Onyedika, his path has been gradual rather than automatic.
Akinsanmiro is a right-footed midfielder with a light frame, quick feet and the confidence to receive on the half-turn. His press resistance and ability to connect midfield with attack invite comparisons with a younger Alex Iwobi, while his low centre of gravity recalls elements of Joe Aribo's early Rangers profile.
