Fabrício Bruno da Cruz Santos was born on 12 February 1996 in Goiânia, in the state of Goiás, Brazil. He came through the youth setup of Cruzeiro and was loaned out to São Bento and Coritiba before re-emerging as a senior option at Red Bull Bragantino in 2020, where two strong seasons earned him a 2022 move to Flamengo.
At Flamengo he became a defensive senior figure across two and a half seasons, winning the 2022 Copa Libertadores and multiple Cariocas as one half of the Pablo–Fabrício Bruno centre-back partnership. In summer 2024 he returned to Cruzeiro on loan to anchor a more senior defensive role at his boyhood club, and the deal was made permanent in 2025.
At Cruzeiro he has been a captain figure and one of the senior leaders of a side competing in the upper end of the Brazilian top flight. His combination of aerial dominance, pace recovery and short distribution has made him one of the most consistent Brazilian centre-backs in domestic football.
For Brazil he debuted in 2023 under Fernando Diniz and has been a senior squad option through the 2024 Copa América and the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. He generally competes for selection with Marquinhos, Éder Militão, Gabriel Magalhães and the next-generation defenders that Brazil has cycled through.
Standing 1.91 m, Fabrício Bruno is a right-footed centre-back whose blend of aerial dominance, recovery pace and willingness to engage forwards physically has drawn comparisons to a more domestically based version of Marquinhos. He represents the senior Brazilian defender profile that domestic clubs continue to develop for European export.
