Juan Manuel Sanabria Magole was born on 29 March 2000 in Florida, Uruguay. Nacional developed him before Atlético Madrid took him to Spain as a teenager.
After Atlético's youth and reserve structures, he played for Zaragoza and Atlético San Luis. In Mexico he became a consistent left-sided midfielder, wing-back or full-back.
In February 2026 Real Salt Lake signed him from Atlético San Luis on a long-term MLS deal. By May 2026 he was expected to add left-sided balance and attacking support.
For Uruguay he earned senior recognition in the 2025-26 period. His versatility suits Bielsa, who values players able to move position without dropping intensity.
Around 1.72 m and left-footed, Sanabria has delivery, stamina and tactical flexibility. He resembles a more technical Álvaro Pereira with cleaner positional education.
