John Yeboah Zamora was born on 23 June 2000 in Hamburg, Germany, to an Ecuadorian mother and Ghanaian father. He was developed in German football, passing through Wolfsburg's youth system and learning the structured wide-forward role common in Bundesliga academies.
His early senior career included loans and moves through VVV-Venlo, MSV Duisburg and Śląsk Wrocław, where he found more regular attacking responsibility. That Polish spell helped rebuild his confidence, and a later move to Venezia placed him in Italian football, where his one-versus-one ability and sharp left-footed actions became more visible.
By 2026 Yeboah is a Venezia winger and one of Ecuador's most interesting diaspora additions. He brings a different development background from many teammates: German academy habits, Polish senior minutes and Italian tactical schooling in a compact, transition-heavy environment.
For Ecuador he received his first senior call in 2023 and debuted during the 2026 World Cup qualifying cycle. His decision to represent Ecuador added depth to the attacking band, and he has competed for minutes with Gonzalo Plata, Alan Minda, Nilson Angulo and other wide players.
Standing around 1.70 m, Yeboah is a left-footed winger who can play on either side but is dangerous cutting inside from the right. His low centre of gravity and sudden changes of direction invite comparisons with a smaller Xherdan Shaqiri, though his game is more about carries and bursts than pure shooting power.
