Joao Costa is a Portuguese forward born in Lisbon in 2000. After youth spells with Atletico e Cultural, Loures and Vitoria Setubal, he rose through lower-tier football with Bocal, Estrela Amadora, Loures, Belenenses and Alverca. His prolific Liga 3 season with Alverca in 2023-24 led to a move to Santa Clara, where he scored on his Primeira Liga debut against Estoril.
