Musashi Suzuki was born on 11 February 1994 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, to a Jamaican father and a Japanese mother. He grew up in Japan and was naturalised as a Japanese citizen. After breaking through with multiple J1 sides — Albirex Niigata, Vissel Kobe and Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo — and winning the AFC U23 Asian Cup with Japan in 2015–16, he developed into a senior J1 forward.
His recent J1 career has been productive across multiple clubs. The 2022 season included 2 World Cup 2022 qualifying matches with Japan and 9 J1 matches with Gamba Osaka. In 2024 he played 32 J1 matches with 6 goals for Consadole Sapporo. The 2025 season brought 22 J1 matches with 2 goals and an assist for Yokohama FC. In January 2026 he moved to Tochigi City.
A 185cm two-footed centre forward with elite acceleration, hold-up play and the goal-scoring instinct of a senior J1 striker, Suzuki has been a senior Japan call-up across his career. He combines a unique cross-cultural background with a long J1 career that has produced consistent output.
