Matías Viña is a Uruguayan left-back from Empalme Olmos. He developed at Nacional and became a first-team player before moving to Palmeiras in 2020, where he won the Copa Libertadores and other Brazilian titles. Roma signed him in 2021, and he later had loan spells with Bournemouth and Sassuolo before returning to Brazil with Flamengo. Viña made his senior Uruguay debut in 2019, played at the 2021 Copa América and 2022 World Cup, and was part of the 2024 Copa América squad.
