Nishan Velupillay is a Melbourne-born winger for Melbourne Victory and Australia. He developed through local football with Endeavour United and Glen Eira before joining Melbourne Victory's pathway. Velupillay signed his first professional contract with Victory in 2019 and became a regular first-team attacker from the early 2020s. He represented Australia at under-23 level and made his senior international debut in 2024, later adding goals for the Socceroos during the 2026 World Cup qualification period.
