Valentín Barco is an Argentine midfielder and left-back born in Veinticinco de Mayo, Buenos Aires Province, in 2004. After early youth football with Sportivo Las Parejas and Norberto de la Riestra, he joined Boca Juniors and made his senior debut in 2021. His performances for Boca, including in domestic and continental competitions, led Brighton & Hove Albion to sign him in January 2024. He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Sevilla and Strasbourg, and Strasbourg made the move permanent in 2025. Barco represented Argentina at under-15, under-20 and under-23 levels, made his senior debut in 2024 against El Salvador, and scored his first Argentina goal in a 2026 friendly win over Zambia.
