Aaron Long is an American centre-back who rose from lower-division soccer to become a regular for New York Red Bulls. He was named MLS Defender of the Year in 2018 and became a United States international. Long later joined Los Angeles FC, continuing his MLS career after recovering from a serious Achilles injury.
