Jakub Kamiński was born on 5 June 2002 in Grudziądz, Poland. One of the most exciting young Polish players of his generation, he burst onto the scene as a teenager at Lech Poznań, quickly establishing himself as a creative and technically gifted left winger whose pace and directness in attacking transitions attracted serious attention from clubs across Europe.
In January 2022 Wolfsburg signed him from Lech Poznań for around €15 million — a significant transfer for both the Polish club and for a twenty-year-old making his step into the Bundesliga. His early Wolfsburg career involved the adjustment expected of a young player moving from the Polish to the German top flight, but he demonstrated the technical quality and intelligence that had made him such a coveted prospect.
He continued to develop at Wolfsburg across multiple seasons, contributing in the wide attacking positions and growing in confidence as a Bundesliga player. His natural ability on the ball — close control, acceleration, the ability to create chances from out wide — has continued to underpin his reputation as one of Poland's brightest young attacking talents.
For Poland he made his senior debut at a very young age and quickly became a regular squad member, with the national team's management seeing him as a key piece of Poland's next generation of attacking talent. He has featured in major tournaments and qualifying campaigns, performing with the energy and technical ability that has come to define his playing style at club level.
At just twenty-four years old at the time of the 2026 World Cup, Kamiński represents Poland's attacking future. His pace, technical polish and left-sided creativity make him one of the most naturally gifted players in the current Polish squad.
