Marcel Hartel is a German attacking midfielder from Cologne. After developing with SC West Köln and 1. FC Köln, he made senior appearances for Köln before moving to Union Berlin. He helped Union reach the Bundesliga, then played for Arminia Bielefeld and St. Pauli. At St. Pauli he became a key creative player and helped the club win promotion before moving to St. Louis City in MLS.
