Maxence Lacroix is a French centre-back born in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges in 2000. After youth football in southwestern France, he joined Sochaux and made his professional debut in Ligue 2 in 2018. He moved to VfL Wolfsburg in 2020, became a regular Bundesliga defender and scored his first league goal there. Crystal Palace signed him in 2024, reuniting him with Oliver Glasner, and he played throughout the 2025 FA Cup final as Palace won the club's first major trophy. Lacroix represented France at youth levels, including the under-17 team, and received his first senior France call-up in 2026.
