Ricardo is a Portuguese goalkeeper who began at Boavista and became one of Portugal's leading keepers of the 2000s. He played for Sporting CP and Real Betis, and was Portugal's first-choice goalkeeper at major tournaments including UEFA Euro 2004 and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
