Sean Longstaff is an English midfielder born in North Shields in 1997. A Newcastle United academy product, he gained senior experience on loan at Kilmarnock and Blackpool before breaking into Newcastle’s first team in 2018. Longstaff became a regular Premier League midfielder, often used for his work rate, pressing and passing from central areas. He has also played in European competition with Newcastle and is part of a footballing family that includes his brother Matty Longstaff.
