Yoshinori Muto is a Japanese forward born in Tokyo in 1992. After developing through FC Tokyo and Keio University, he broke into FC Tokyo's first team and earned J.League Best XI recognition before moving to Mainz 05 in Germany. He later played for Newcastle United in the Premier League and spent a loan season with Eibar in Spain. Muto returned to Japan with Vissel Kobe in 2021 and became an important attacker as the club won J1 League titles. He represented Japan at senior level, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
