Alex Freeman is an American right-back born in Plantation, Florida, on 9 August 2004. He developed in the Orlando City academy and signed a homegrown contract with the club, also gaining minutes with Orlando City B. Freeman broke into Orlando's MLS first team and became known for his athleticism and ability to contribute from wide defensive areas. He represented the United States at youth level and moved into the senior national-team picture as a young full-back option. His club performances later led to a move to Villarreal, continuing his career in Spain.
