Che Adams was born on 13 July 1996 in Leicester, England, of Scottish heritage through his mother. He came through the youth systems of Birmingham City and Sheffield United before joining Birmingham City's first team, then made a bigger move to Southampton in July 2019 for around £15 million.
At Southampton his career developed through the club's Premier League and Championship cycles, establishing him as a flexible forward capable of playing as a centre-forward or from wide positions. His pace, pressing ability and direct style suited Ralph Hasenhüttl's high-intensity system and made him a consistent contributor across multiple seasons.
Following Southampton's relegation experiences, Adams moved to Torino in Serie A, seeking consistent top-flight football. His move to Italian football represented a new chapter in his career and demonstrated his ambition to play at a high level in Europe.
For Scotland he qualified through his Scottish mother and debuted in 2019 under Steve Clarke. His pace, directness and ability to press from the front made him a useful alternative to more physical centre-forwards in Scotland's squad. He featured through the Euro 2020 campaign and beyond, providing an energetic attacking option off the bench or from the start.
Standing 1.77 m, Adams is a quick, energetic forward whose pace and pressing intensity give Scotland a different dimension in attack compared to more target-man-oriented options. His ability to run in behind defences and create space makes him a versatile attacking tool in Scotland's squad.
