Ian Fray is a defender born in Coconut Creek, Florida. After youth football with Weston FC, Miramar United and Inter Miami, he signed as an Inter Miami homegrown player in 2021. His early professional years were interrupted by serious knee injuries, but he returned to make first-team appearances for Inter Miami while also playing for Inter Miami II. Eligible for the United States and Jamaica through family background, Fray was included in Jamaica's 2023 Gold Cup provisional squad and made his senior international debut in 2025 World Cup qualifying.
