Ibrahim Mbaye was born on 24 January 2008 in France. He joined Paris Saint-Germain's academy at ten in 2018 and progressed through the youth ranks. On 16 August 2024 he made his official debut for PSG, playing the first half of a 4–1 away win at Le Havre in the opening match of the 2024–25 Ligue 1 season — and at sixteen years, six months, and 23 days, became the youngest player ever to start a Ligue 1 match for PSG.
He signed his first professional contract with PSG on 7 February 2025, running through 2027. Across the 2025–26 La Liga / Ligue 1 senior cycle he was on the matchday list across multiple fixtures and was on the squad for PSG's continental treble-winning campaign of 2024–25.
A right winger with elite pace, dribbling, and the directness expected of a young academy attacker breaking into Luis Enrique's senior rotation, Mbaye has become one of the most internationally tracked PSG academy graduates, with public reports linking interest from Liverpool. The fellow academy attacker Quentin Ndjantou is among those Mbaye has assisted at senior level, illustrating the on-pitch chemistry the club has built among the academy graduate cohort.
His career projection is firmly long-term first-team — pace, technical sharpness, and senior debut precocity place him among the most exciting French winger prospects of his generation.
