Mikkel Damsgaard is a Danish attacking or central midfielder for Brentford and Denmark. He came through Nordsjælland after being scouted from local football, then moved to Sampdoria in 2020. Brentford signed him in 2022. Damsgaard became widely known at Euro 2020, scoring against Russia and then a free kick in the semi-final against England, and he remains part of Denmark's national team.
