Mario Pašalić is a Croatian midfielder born in Mainz in 1995 and raised in Croatia. He emerged at Hajduk Split and signed for Chelsea in 2014, then developed through loans to Elche, Monaco, AC Milan, Spartak Moscow and Atalanta. Atalanta made the move permanent in 2020, and he became a regular Serie A and European competitor. Pašalić debuted for Croatia in 2014, scored his first international goal in 2020, and represented Croatia at Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024.
