Robin Roefs is a Dutch goalkeeper born in Heeswijk in 2003. He began at VV Heeswijk and joined NEC's academy in 2014. After progressing through NEC's youth system, he extended his contract in 2023 and made his Eredivisie debut later that year when Jasper Cillessen was injured. Roefs became more involved with the first team during the following seasons and earned recognition in Eredivisie team-of-the-month selections. Sunderland signed him in 2025 after promotion to the Premier League, and he kept a clean sheet on his league debut against West Ham United. He has represented the Netherlands at youth levels and received his first senior call-up in 2025.
