Yann Aurel Bisseck was born on 29 November 2000 in Cologne, Germany, to a family of Cameroonian descent, and joined 1. FC Köln's academy in 2007. In November 2017 he became the youngest player in Köln's history and one of the youngest debutants in Bundesliga history, making his senior debut at 16.
After limited senior chances at Köln he spent loan periods at Holstein Kiel, Roda JC and Vitória Guimarães B between 2019 and 2021, then signed permanently with Danish Superliga club AGF Aarhus in October 2021, where he matured into a starting centre-back.
Inter Milan acquired him on 12 July 2023 for around €7 million, and he has since become a regular rotation option in Inter's defence, scoring his first Inter goal against Lecce in December 2023 and helping the club win the 2023-24 and 2025-26 Serie A titles plus the Supercoppa Italiana. He has also reached two Champions League finals with Inter.
He represented Germany through every age group from U17 to U21 and made his senior Germany debut on 23 March 2025, coming on as a substitute in a 3-3 Nations League draw against Italy.
Standing 1.96 m (6'5"), Bisseck combines aerial dominance and physicality with a calm passing range out of the back, and was awarded the bronze Fritz Walter Medal at U19 level in 2019 as one of Germany's top young defensive prospects.
