Aaron Ramsey was born on 21 January 2003 in Great Barr, England, and developed in the Aston Villa academy alongside his older brother Jacob. He was part of a strong Villa youth generation and played in attacking midfield roles, showing early ability between the lines, in transition and around the edge of the penalty area.
To gain senior experience he moved through loans at Cheltenham Town, Norwich City and Middlesbrough. Those spells gave him different types of football: promotion-chasing pressure, Championship intensity and the need to turn academy technique into reliable end product. Middlesbrough in particular showed his ability to arrive into scoring positions from midfield.
Burnley signed Ramsey from Aston Villa in 2023 as part of a younger, more possession-oriented squad build. Injuries interrupted his early progress badly, including a serious knee problem, so his Burnley career has developed in stages rather than in one clean rise. As Burnley compete in the Premier League, he remains a high-upside midfielder whose next step depends on rhythm, fitness and careful minutes.
Ramsey has represented England at youth levels, including the under-19 and under-20 age groups, and has been viewed as part of the wider generation of technically polished attacking midfielders in the national setup. He has not yet established a senior England role, and any international step is likely to depend on a sustained club run after his injuries.
Standing around 1.80 m, Ramsey is a right-footed attacking midfielder who can play as a number ten, an advanced eight or from a narrow wide role. He is mobile, receives well on the half-turn and looks to break into the box. A loose comparison is a younger Mason Mount type: energetic, positionally flexible and useful when pressing from advanced midfield. Because of his age and injury history, this profile should be treated as still developing and due for updates.
