Jaidon Anthony was born on 1 December 1999 in Hackney, London, and spent time in Arsenal's youth system before joining Bournemouth. At Bournemouth he had to take a patient route, learning through the under-21 setup and loans before becoming a first-team player rather than arriving as a ready-made academy star.
His senior breakthrough came during Bournemouth's 2021-22 Championship promotion season. Anthony played from the left, combining direct running with tidy combination play, and helped Scott Parker's side return to the Premier League. He then experienced top-flight football with Bournemouth before a loan to Leeds United in 2023-24 gave him a different promotion-pressure environment.
Burnley added Anthony as part of a squad that needed wide players capable of carrying the ball and working without it. In the Premier League he is used as a left-sided winger or attacking midfielder, stretching the pitch, pressing full-backs and giving Burnley a one-versus-one outlet. His output can fluctuate, but his athletic profile and willingness to run make him useful in games where Burnley need transitions.
Anthony has been eligible for England and has also been linked by background to other representative possibilities, but he has not established a senior international career. His pathway has been domestic and club-based, and any future representative step would likely require a sustained Premier League run with clearer goal and assist numbers.
Standing around 1.83 m, Anthony is a right-footed wide player who usually starts from the left and drives inside or attacks the outside depending on the full-back. He is more runner than pure playmaker, with useful pressing energy and enough technique to combine in tight areas. A fair comparison is a lighter version of Demarai Gray: direct, streaky and dangerous when space opens.
