Matt Doherty is an Irish right-back born in Dublin in 1992. He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Bohemians in 2010 and became a key player as Wolves rose from League One to the Premier League, developing into an attacking wing-back. Tottenham Hotspur signed him in 2020, and he later had spells with Atlético Madrid and a return to Wolves. Doherty has represented the Republic of Ireland at senior international level since 2018.
