Santiago Bueno is a Uruguayan centre-back from Montevideo. He came through Peñarol and Barcelona's youth system, then played in Spain with Peralada and Girona. At Girona he became a regular defender, helped the club in its rise, and renewed his contract before moving to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2023. Bueno represented Uruguay at under-17, under-20 and under-23 levels, winning the 2017 South American U-20 Championship. He received senior recognition under Uruguay and debuted in a 2023 friendly against Japan.
