Sam Johnstone is an English goalkeeper born in Preston in 1993. A Manchester United academy graduate, he developed through several loan spells before becoming a regular at Aston Villa and then West Bromwich Albion. Crystal Palace signed him in 2022 after his Premier League and Championship performances. Johnstone represented England at youth levels, was part of the senior England squad for UEFA Euro 2020, and made his full international debut in 2021.
