Marcus Thuram was born in Parma, Italy, and began his professional career at Sochaux in France, where he made his first-team debut in 2015 after coming through the academy. He later moved to Guingamp, gaining recognition for a key penalty goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de la Ligue that helped eliminate the defending champions in 2019.
After joining Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2019, Thuram showcased his talent by scoring twice against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. In 2023, he signed with Inter Milan, where he played a pivotal role in earning the Serie A title in his first season, contributing 13 goals and an equal number of assists.
Thuram is known for his versatility as a forward, able to adapt to various attacking roles and contribute both goals and assists.
Internationally, he made his debut for the France national team in 2020 and was part of the squad that reached the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, registering one assist in the decisive match against Argentina. He has so far earned several caps and scored his first international goal in a Euro 2024 qualifying match against Ireland in September 2023.
