Nicolo Barella is an Italian midfielder born in Cagliari on 7 February 1997. He came through Cagliari's academy, had a loan at Como and then became a leading player for his hometown club. Inter Milan signed him in 2019, first on loan, and he developed into a central figure in a side that won Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana titles and reached the Champions League final. Barella made his senior Italy debut in 2018 and was a starter in the team that won UEFA Euro 2020.
