Tino Livramento was born on 12 November 2002 in Kingston upon Thames, southwest London, England. He came through the Chelsea academy — one of the most technically demanding youth systems in European football — and was sold to Southampton in summer 2021 for a reported fee of around £5 million, a decision that Chelsea would later reflect upon as an early-exit for a talent that rapidly excelled.
At Southampton he was immediate in establishing himself as the Saints' first-choice right-back at just eighteen, delivering performances that drew widespread Premier League admiration before a serious ACL knee injury in August 2022 disrupted his development for the better part of a year. He returned in 2023-24 and played a part in Southampton's Championship season before Newcastle United signed him for approximately £32 million in summer 2024.
At Newcastle he has worked into Eddie Howe's system as an attacking right-back and wing-back, contributing directly to Newcastle's right-sided attack and establishing himself in a competitive squad that already included Kieran Trippier. His combination of pace, crossing and defensive energy has made him one of the most promising young English full-backs of his generation.
For England he debuted at Under-21 level and was part of the Euro 2023 Under-21 winning squad. He made his senior international debut in 2024 under Gareth Southgate and has continued under Thomas Tuchel for the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, competing for the right-back position.
Standing 1.75 m, Livramento is a right-footed full-back whose combination of speed, directness and crossing ability from the right makes him a contemporary profile of the modern attacking English right-back. He draws comparisons with Glen Johnson in his Chelsea and England prime — a right-back whose attacking instincts are as developed as his defensive responsibilities.
