Nick Pope is an English goalkeeper born in Soham in 1992. He began in non-league football and joined Charlton Athletic before moving to Burnley in 2016. At Burnley he became a Premier League regular and earned England recognition with his shot-stopping and command of the area. Newcastle United signed him in 2022, and he helped the club qualify for the Champions League. Pope made his England senior debut in 2018 and was selected for major tournament squads.
