Fidel Escobar is a Panamanian centre-back from Panama City. A San Francisco youth product, he played for Sporting San Miguelito before loan spells with Sporting B, New York Red Bulls, New York Red Bulls II, Correcaminos and Córdoba. He later joined Alcorcón, Cultural Leonesa and Saprissa. Escobar represented Panama at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup and made his senior debut the same year. He played all three of Panama's matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and was named in the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup Best XI.
