José Córdoba is a Panamanian defender from Panama City. Developed by Independiente, he moved to Spain with Celta B and then to Bulgaria with Etar Veliko Tarnovo and Levski Sofia. At Levski he won the Bulgarian Cup and was later named the league's best defender before joining Norwich City in 2024. Córdoba made his Panama debut in the final match of 2022 World Cup qualifying against Canada. He became a regular international centre-back and was part of Panama's 2024 Copa América squad.
