Arkadiusz Milik was born on 28 February 1994 in Tychy, Poland, and broke through with Górnik Zabrze (2011-2013). Bayer Leverkusen signed him in 2013 but he struggled to break in, gaining experience on loan at FC Augsburg and then Ajax, where in 2015 he joined permanently. At Ajax he became one of the Eredivisie's top scorers and earned a €35 million move to Napoli in August 2016 as the heir to Gonzalo Higuaín.
Injuries hampered his early Napoli years, but he scored the winning penalty in the 2020 Coppa Italia final against Juventus. In January 2021 he joined Marseille on loan and excelled, before joining Juventus on loan in August 2022. The deal was made permanent in June 2023, and he wears the number 14 shirt for the Bianconeri, having won the 2023-24 Coppa Italia.
For Poland, Milik has earned more than 70 caps with around 17 goals, playing at Euro 2016 (quarter-finals), the 2018 World Cup and the 2022 World Cup (round of 16). A serious knee injury in Euro 2024 preparation cost him that tournament.
A 1.86 m left-footed centre-forward, Milik is a versatile, well-rounded striker known for pace, finishing with both feet, strong physical presence and aerial ability — at Juventus he is a senior, dependable rotation option behind Vlahović and now Jonathan David.
