Emil Holm was born on 13 May 2000 in Sweden and came through Halmstads BK's academy. He moved to Italian football with Spezia in 2021, helping them survive in Serie A as a regular right-back, before joining Atalanta in 2023 and reaching the 2024 UEFA Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen as part of the squad.
In 2024 Juventus signed him on loan with an option to buy, adding him as a young right-back / wing-back option in their squad. He has continued to be involved in senior squads under multiple coaches.
For Sweden, Holm has progressed through the youth ranks and earned senior caps, contributing to recent qualifying campaigns.
Standing 1.91 m and right-footed, Holm combines unusual height and athleticism for a full-back with strong overlapping runs and crossing — a profile that Italian clubs in particular have valued for both four- and three-man back lines.
