Pierre Kazeye Rommel Kalulu Kyatengwa was born on 5 June 2000 in Lyon, France, to parents of Congolese descent and acquired French citizenship in December 2000. He came through Lyon's youth academy from 2010 to 2018 before joining their reserve team.
In summer 2020 he joined AC Milan on a contract through 2025. He made his Europa League debut against Sparta Prague in December 2020 and his Serie A debut three days later, before establishing himself as a regular in 2021-22 and helping Milan win their first Scudetto in 11 years alongside Fikayo Tomori. The 2023-24 season was disrupted by injury, and he made only 11 appearances.
In August 2024 Juventus signed him on a one-year loan worth around €3.3 million with a €14 million purchase option. The move was made permanent on his 25th birthday, 6 June 2025. He has since returned to Milan in 2025-26 as part of squad rotations.
For France he played at every youth level from U18 to U21, including the 2019 U19 European Championship, and made his senior debut on 5 June 2025 against Spain in the UEFA Nations League, finishing third in the 2024-25 edition.
A 1.82 m right-sided defender comfortable as a centre-back or right-back, Kalulu combines pace, recovery defending and clean ball-playing — a profile that fits both four- and three-man back lines.
