Jonathan David is a forward born in New York City in 2000 and raised in Ottawa. He developed in local youth soccer before joining Gent, where his senior career began. In 2020 he moved to Lille, becoming one of the club's leading scorers and helping them win Ligue 1 in 2020-21. He later joined Juventus. Internationally, David represented Canada at youth level before becoming a senior regular in 2018. He has been among Canada's most productive forwards, featured at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and earned Canadian player of the year honours.
