Ibrahim Maza was born on 24 November 2005 in Germany, of Algerian descent through his father. He came up through Reinickendorfer Füchse before joining Hertha BSC's academy in 2018. He started his senior career with Hertha's reserves in 2022 and scored his first professional goal in May 2023 against Wolfsburg, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Hertha's history at 17 years, six months and three days.
In summer 2025 Bayer Leverkusen signed him as their first new arrival of the 2025-26 campaign, paying a reported €12 million for a contract through 30 June 2030. In his debut Bundesliga season he was outstanding, voted Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for April 2026 and quickly establishing himself as a key player.
After representing Germany at U18, U19 and U20 levels, he switched to Algeria — his father's homeland — at senior level.
A right-footed attacking midfielder / forward who can play centrally or off the right, Maza combines pace, dribbling and goal contribution from the half-spaces. By 2026 his form had earned him reported interest from Manchester City and other Premier League clubs at price tags climbing toward €70 million — exactly the kind of long-term, high-ceiling investment Leverkusen made with their summer 2025 recruitment.
Public information about him is still developing, and this profile will be updated as more career and biographical detail becomes confirmed from independent sources.
