Kouadio Emmanuel Boris Koné, known as M. Koné, hails from Colombes, France. He began his professional journey with Toulouse, making his debut in May 2019. His breakthrough came when he caught the eye of Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach, who signed him in January 2021 for a reported fee of €9 million. During his time in Germany, he made a mark by scoring his first goal in a DFB-Pokal match against Bayern Munich, which ended in a dominant 5-0 victory.
After a successful stint at Gladbach, Koné moved to Serie A club Roma in August 2024 for an estimated €18 million, where he continues to develop his skills as a central midfielder. Known for his combative playstyle and ability to control the game's tempo, he quickly became an integral part of Roma's midfield. Koné made his senior international debut for the French national team in September 2024, contributing to the team as they competed in various tournaments.
As of the end of the 2024-25 season, he has made a significant impact in Serie A, helping Roma secure a fifth-place finish. Throughout his career, he has also achieved success on the international stage, winning a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics with France's U23 team.
