Manuel Ángel Morán Ibáñez — known by the nickname "Mami," derived from the initials of his name — was born on 15 March 2004. He joined Real Madrid's La Fábrica in 2018 and progressed through the youth ranks before stepping up to Real Madrid Castilla in 2023–24, where he eventually wore the captain's armband.
He made his senior Real Madrid debut on 16 January 2026 in a Copa del Rey defeat against Albacete, replacing Jorge Cestero in the 86th minute. Two months later, on 11 March 2026, he made his UEFA Champions League debut as a substitute in the round-of-16 first-leg 3–0 win over Manchester City — a memorable cameo on a night also defined by Federico Valverde's hat-trick. His contract with the club runs through June 2027.
A 1.79 m central midfielder, Manuel Ángel is technically refined on both feet (a rare profile his Castilla teammate Marc Cucalon once joked even Mami himself wasn't sure of), comfortable progressing the ball under pressure, and well-regarded for his composure and leadership at reserve-team level. He is one of La Fábrica's longer-developing midfielders and is being tracked as a candidate for further first-team integration heading into 2026–27.
