Jesús Fortea Tejedo was born on 26 March 2007 in Spain. He started at Levante UD's academy, moved to Atlético Madrid in 2019, and then joined Real Madrid's La Fábrica in summer 2022. He has progressed through the academy and become one of the most highly regarded right-backs at Real Madrid Castilla.
Through the 2025–26 season Fortea has trained repeatedly with Xabi Alonso's senior squad and was named to the matchday squad against Girona on 10 April 2026, although a competitive senior debut had not yet arrived as the campaign closed. His ankle has caused recurring trouble across the season, briefly slowing the trajectory. Real Madrid extended his contract through June 2029 in summer 2025, and his profile has drawn interest from Ajax, Porto, Bayer Leverkusen, and Sporting CP, with the Portuguese club entering more concrete discussions.
A right-footed full-back with technical maturity well beyond his age, Fortea is praised for tactical intelligence, ball-playing range from the back, and crossing technique on overlapping runs. He projects as a long-term right-back option for the senior team if he remains, and as one of the most coveted teenage defenders in Europe if a loan or transfer materialises.
