Daniel Lewis Gore was born on 26 September 2004 in England and joined the Manchester United academy in 2018, having spent his early footballing years at Burnley from the age of eight. He progressed steadily through United's youth ranks, playing a role in the club's FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2021–22 and earning the Denzil Haroun Reserve Team Player of the Year award for the 2022–23 season.
Gore made his first-team debut for Manchester United on 26 September 2023 against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup, having earlier been named as a substitute in a Premier League match against Nottingham Forest. He made his league debut on Boxing Day 2023, coming on as a late substitute against Aston Villa. In January 2024, he joined League One side Port Vale on a six-month loan, though the spell was disrupted by a quad injury on his debut and later a dislocated shoulder requiring surgery. He subsequently joined Rotherham United on loan in January 2025, returning to the club on a season-long deal in July 2025, where he established himself as a regular starter and drew praise for his performances throughout the 2025–26 campaign.
A combative defensive midfielder, Gore is noted for his tenacity and work rate in the centre of the pitch.
At international level, Gore has represented England at under-16, under-18, and under-20 level, making his England U20 debut in October 2023 against Romania. Manchester United continue to monitor his development closely, with his loan spells designed to build senior experience.
