Jhonny Víctor Vidales Lature was born on 22 April 1992 in Lima, Peru. He developed in Peruvian football as a quick attacking player and moved early through clubs that gave him responsibility in wide and central forward roles.
Vidales' career has included Alianza Lima, Marítimo in Portugal, Real Garcilaso/Cusco, Melgar and other domestic stops. He became known in Liga 1 as a flexible attacker who could score in bursts, press defenders and play off a main striker rather than only hold one fixed position.
By 2026 he was with FBC Melgar, where his experience gives the squad another senior attacking option. He is not a new prospect, but his maturity and domestic scoring record keep him useful in a league where tactical flexibility is valuable.
For Peru he received senior recognition earlier in his career and later returned to the edges of the national conversation through club form. His international profile is modest compared with the 2018 World Cup core, but he represents the depth of experienced Liga 1 attackers available to coaches.
At around 1.78 m, Vidales is a right-footed forward who can play wide, as a second striker or as a mobile centre-forward. His movement and opportunistic finishing resemble a less explosive Jefferson Farfán, while his versatility in domestic football has hints of Irven Ávila's multi-role attacking career.
