Lee Han-beom was born on 17 June 2002 in Daegu, South Korea. He developed through FC Seoul's youth structure and quickly became known as a tall centre-back with the frame, timing and calmness to project as a senior international defender.
At FC Seoul he gained K League experience while still young, learning to defend against older and stronger forwards in a league where physical duels and aerial battles matter. His performances earned a move to FC Midtjylland in Denmark in 2023, continuing a route increasingly used by Korean prospects seeking European development.
By May 2026 Lee remains with Midtjylland, where he has played in Danish Superliga and European competition. The Danish environment has sharpened his set-piece defending, distribution under pressure and ability to handle direct transitions, all useful traits for a national-team centre-back.
Lee represented South Korea at youth level and broke into the senior picture during the 2026 World Cup cycle. He is part of the younger defensive group competing to support or eventually succeed established figures such as Kim Min-jae and Kim Young-gwon.
Standing around 1.90 m, Lee is a right-footed centre-back whose strengths are aerial reach, recovery stride and increasingly confident passing. His profile is naturally compared to Kim Min-jae because of size and forward defending, though Lee is still developing the same aggression and top-level authority.
