Max Arfsten is an American winger and full-back born in Fresno, California, on 19 April 2001. He played college soccer at UC Davis and also appeared in USL League Two before joining the San Jose Earthquakes organization. Columbus Crew selected him in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, and he developed into a useful wide player for the club. Arfsten was part of the Columbus squad that won the 2023 MLS Cup and later earned more regular minutes. His performances in MLS brought him into the United States senior national-team setup as a wide option.
