Adailton is a Brazilian forward who began his professional career in Brazil and also played in Switzerland for Sion. He moved to Japan with Jubilo Iwata and became a regular attacking player before joining FC Tokyo. After several seasons in Tokyo, he continued in J.League football with Ventforet Kofu and Yokohama FC. Adailton has mainly operated as a powerful wide forward or striker across a long spell in Japanese football.
